Kayak Rentals
Single Kayaks : $35 per day
Deposit of $400 per kayak required. Please bring a credit card.Please note we only charge your card for the rental no funds are actually held for the deposit we only charge the deposit if you do not return the boat(s).

Please note we do not offer reservations. Our tube and kayak rentals are on a first come, first served basis. Our Concan store opens at 9:00 am.

You may pay for your rental with cash, but a credit card is needed for the deposit. We will make an imprint of your credit card to hold as a deposit and will return the copy to you once you’ve checked your tube or kayak rental back in. If you do not have a credit card you will have to leave cash. $40 per tube rental & $400 per kayak rental. 

It is easier to use a credit card

Please note we only rent single sit on top kayaks. Tandem or double seat kayaks are not well suited for maneuverability on the Frio River. We also do not recommend or rent canoes for the Frio River.

Tubing: The best runs for tubing are:
    Seven Bluffs Crossing to Kenneth Arthur "Frio Country" Crossing: +/-3 hours (tube times vary on water level, please call for the latest tubing times)
    Kenneth Arthur "Frio Country" to Neal's Crossing: on a tube +/-4 hours (tube times vary on water level, please call for the latest tubing times)
    Both tubing runs combined will take you ± 7 hours, in order to do this run you must be at the Concan location between 9:00-10:00. This is the longest float option available. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Kayaking: 
    All of our kayaks come equipped with a life jacket and paddle. 
    We suggest Magers to Seven Bluffs to kayakers because it is a nice stretch of the River that is not highly trafficked by tubers. It is also a great spot to go fishing! (You don't have to worry about this portion of the Frio River being as busy as other runs of the Frio River.

    7 bluffs to Neal's is also a nice run for kayakers we would suggest this run on weekdays or during morning hours on weekends when tubers are not crowding the water.

Please keep in mind any estimated time we give you can vary from greatly from group to group depending on floating experience. 

Rules of Thumb when tubing the Frio River

Never get in the Frio River during a flood it is highly dangerous and could result in serious injury or death. The River is a strong force of nature. 

• Be sure to wear good water shoes that will not fall off. The Frio River has a rock bottom and you may need to stand up along your float. We have a great selection of River shoes in both stores. 
• Sunscreen, you will need to reapply throughout your tubing trip. Getting sunburned is no fun!
• Sunglasses and Headwear. Be sure to come in and get a sunglass retainer from the store so they don't sink to the bottom of the River. 
• Water, you will need it to keep hydrated.
• Electronic devices such as cell phones and Digital Cameras are NOT ADVISED.
  Waterproof cameras are perfect, just make sure you attach them to something.
• Do NOT take your car keys or room keys on the river.
• Trash bags. Yellow mesh bags can be had to dispose of your trash while floating.
• No Glass or Styrofoam on the Frio River let's keep it crystal clear and beautiful.
• No jewelry or valuables, they may get lost in the River.
• The Frio River is a family river. Please respect your fellow tubers, kayakers, swimmers and sitters, and be kind.
